Vice President + Events Co-Chair, Jessica Herzog

Jessica Herzog is the Operations and Grants Manager at the Burke Foundation, where she coordinates grantee relations and office administration. She has worked in the nonprofit industry for twelve years, in the areas of conservation, volunteer coordination, development, and community relations. Jessica has been described by her colleagues as a servant leader and is passionate about community development, social and environmental justice, and education. She has been a member of the YNPN Milwaukee chapter for four years and currently sits on the events committee and executive committee. While serving as Vice President, Jessica hopes to enhance the opportunities given to our members and support long-term stability and growth of the organization. In her spare time, she enjoys dining at one of Milwaukee's fantastic restaurants, attending live music and cultural events, and spending quality time with her friends, family, cats, and husband, Joe. Jessica's personal motto would be “To thrive in life you need three bones: a wishbone, a backbone, and a funny bone.”

Secretary, Michael Egly

Michael Egly is the FOOD Pantry of Waukesha County's first Community Outreach Coordinator, starting this new position in 2013. In this role, Michael serves as liaison with partners and coordinates on-site client services, in addition to representing the FOOD Pantry on numerous community coalitions. Michael’s commitment to service started well before his role as Community Outreach Coordinator. He is also a former FOOD Pantry volunteer, starting his service at the age of 13. Michael has served as a REAL Change Fellow, where he traveled to Washington, D.C. to discuss the importance of the SNAP and EITC programs with legislators. Michael has been a member of YNPN Milwaukee for over 3 years and serves as the chapter’s Board Secretary and sits on the Events committee. He also serves as the Treasurer for the Housing Action Coalition of Waukesha County. Michael’s personal motto is "There's little correlation between being the best talker and having the best idea.”

Treasurer, Andrew Robertson

Andrew Robertson, a dedicated employee and Senior Accountant at Laughlin Constable, has been working in his field for five years. He recently joined YNPN as the Board Treasurer. Over the next year, Andrew hopes to help YNPN flourish financially and expand its reach through membership and fundraising opportunities. In an effort to balance his work and personal life, Andrew enjoys participating in outdoor activities and bowling with friends. He also enjoys spending time with family and watching the latest hit series on Netflix. His personal motto is, “It's an accrual world for an accountant. Don't take life too seriously.”

National Liaison + Governance Chair, Anna Bierer

Having spent the last 20 years working for adult and family literacy programs in Wisconsin, Anna Bierer is a veteran in her field. It’s evident that she is extremely passionate about education and her colleagues often describe her as dynamic and helpful. She has been a member of YNPN for the last two years and hopes in the next year she can increase the conversation and collaboration between organizations and individuals. In her spare time, Anna enjoys outdoor activities including camping, skiing, boating, and hiking. Her personal motto is, “Make it (today) count!”

Events Co-Chair, Maddy Riordan

Events Coordinator at 88Nine Radio Milwaukee and employee at the Milwaukee Public Library, Maddy Riordan has been involved in YNPN for almost three years. Hardworking and straightforward, Maddy is passionate about trying to make a difference. Although it may sound cliche, Maddy strives to make a positive impact on every person she meets. In her personal life, she is dedicated to her family and her community and over the next year, she hopes to buy her first home. In her spare time, Maddy enjoys exploring new restaurants with friends. She also makes her own greeting cards from magazines, postcards, and other cards. Her personal motto is, “Network, network, network!”

Fund Development Chair, Dana Zwick

A member of YNPN for three years, Dana Zwick spends her workday at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation where she recently joined the Foundation's Development and Philanthropic Services team. She is passionate about advocacy and education centering around at-risk youth and seeks to cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships. An outgoing and passionate board member, Dana enjoys trying new bars and restaurants with her friends in her spare time. Over the next year, Dana hopes to explore the city of Milwaukee and get to know her community. Her personal motto is, “Do more of what makes you happy.”

Marketing Chair, Shahree Douglas

Shahree Douglas is the Public Relations and Social Media Specialist for United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County. Shahree has been a member of YNPN for three years, serving as a Board member and Marketing Committee chair for two years.

Shahree brings more than ten years of communication and marketing experience with an expertise in non-profit and is passionate about telling the stories of the community and helping to empower people to overcome obstacles they are facing in life that keep them from fulfilling their potential and reaching their goals. 

In her free time, you can catch Shahree spending time with family, indulging in Milwaukee’s dining scene, and enjoying live music.

Shahree’s personal motto is, “treat others how you would want them to treat you.”

Membership Co-Chair, Bradley Fisher

Bradley currently works as the Wisconsin Marketing Coordinator for Henricksen, a commercial furniture dealership. Prior to joining the Henricksen team in 2013, Bradley worked as a Dining Services Supervisor with Sodexo at Marquette University where he honed his skills and gained valuable experience in operations, personnel management, and marketing. Bradley acts as a resource for others and always strives to go beyond the call of duty. He is passionate about technology and uses it to make things simpler and more efficient. Bradley is has been a member and chapter leader of YNPN Milwaukee for over five years.

When he’s not at Henricksen or helping manage YNPN Milwaukee’s membership program, Bradley supports the YNPN national network as its 2018 Chapter Support and Network Engagement Fellow and works closely with the leadership team of the YNPN chapter in Sheboygan.

Scholarship Chair, Vanessa Vasquez

Vanessa Vasquez has been working in Higher Education for five years and has been a member of YNPN for three years. This upcoming year, she hopes to embark on a PhD program in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service in Higher Education at Cardinal Stritch University. A trustworthy and outgoing professional, Vanessa is passionate about learning and considers herself a lifelong learner. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and participating in activities that keep her healthy and active. Her personal motto is, "Give the world the best that you have, and the best will come back to you!"

Director, Bryce Lord

Bryce Lord is the Academic and Outreach Programs Manager at the Helen Bader Institute for Nonprofit Management at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Bryce brings over 12 years of nonprofit experience in various areas of the sector to our board, including 7 years at the Helen Bader Institute. He has been a member and key partner of YNPN since 2015 when the Helen Bader Institute became YNPN Milwaukee’s first organizational member.

Bryce’s goal for this year is to establish a mentoring program for HBI students and alumni. He is also working to develop a more uniform system of state-wide nonprofit education and professional development opportunities for those in the sector, but outside of Milwaukee and Madison.

Prior to his life in the nonprofit sector, Bryce was involved with the Milwaukee theater community for over 20 years as both an actor and director.

Bryce’s personal motto is “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”

Director, Cody Ziegler

Cody Zielger is a Real Estate Advisor for Cushman & Wakefield | Boerke. Cody brings a fresh approach to serving in the nonprofit sector and recently joined YNPN Milwaukee in 2017. He serves on the Membership Committee and Board of Directors, where his goal for 2018 is to help increase awareness of YNPN Milwaukee through organizational member recruitment. Cody is also supporting the membership committee through new member engagement initiatives. Cody’s involvement with YNPN Milwaukee goes hand-in-hand with his passion for being involved in the community. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, sailing, woodworking and trap shooting.

Cody’s personal motto is “Do what you gotta do and do it now, if your parents don’t like it – do it more.”

Director, Robbie Maris

Robbie Maris was born in Milwaukee and raised in New Berlin, Wisconsin. He attended Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee graduating with a Bachelors of Business Administration. After living in Nashville for 8 years while working extensively in the LGBT community and HIV field, Robbie moved back to Milwaukee. Robbie is passionate about progressive issues and advancing the LGBT movement. It is because of Robbie’s passion for community that he started study at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Nonprofit Management Graduate Certificate program. Upon arrival at UWM Robbie was quick to jumpstart Pulse, UWM’s LGBT graduate student organization.

Robbie has been employed by Davis & Kuelthau as a receptionist since April 2017, and has been a member of YNPN since September 2017. Robbie innately desires to help support community organizations, to assist in making systemic change, and ultimately to be a part of a mission that has great impact and purpose. Robbie’s current life motto is: “Never Stop Learning.”
